SERVICES
Woven Metal Products (WMP) is more than just a fabricator, we’re a solutions provider. We help our customers troubleshoot issues and improve processes, providing innovative approaches to custom fit their needs.
Check out the range of services we offer to enhance our customers’ experience.
Engineering
Our in-house engineering department works with customers to create, modify or review drawings and designs to their needed specifications on the products we fabricate and manufacture.
Quality Control
Quality is the most important part of our mission and is evident in everything we do. Our fully equipped, experienced quality control (QC) department consists of our quality control manager and team of inspectors.

Whether creating designs or drawings from scratch, working off used parts, or collaborating with your existing engineering department, WMP has the engineering team get the job done.
Using the latest in engineering and design software, WMP can supply drawings and designs for a variety of applications and needs.
Our technical advisors and experts are available to support your projects at every step along the way — or come in at critical checkpoints to ensure your project direction is on target and the team is meeting its milestones.
The technical capabilities we offer include:
Process Services
We can design complete solutions for all types of process internals — from gas/liquid and liquid/liquid separations to mass transfer and other tower internals as well as reactor internals, using our in-house software and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools
Mechanical Design
WMP has full mechanical design capabilities, including load and stress analysis, proper material selection, and evaluation for correct product selection. We can assist with your full mechanical needs from fully engineering the necessary products to replacement-in-kind. Our team creates fabrication drawings for all replacement in-kind work. We have the ability to do FEA (finite element analysis) process on any necessary equipment. Additionally, we can develop the mechanical design and performance improvements as needed.
Drafting
Our drafting team is the gateway to our fabrication shop, taking customers’ designs and translating them into individual, buildable parts to create final products. We use the latest computer aided drafting software for 3D and 2D modeling, so your drawings will be accessible in the future. In many cases, we may have a plant’s existing and historical prints on file, saving you time and potentially money and hassle.
The QC department answers only to our president to ensure autonomy from production pressure or impending project deadlines.
WMP’s QC team members include American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspectors who are used to working with multiple levels of outside inspectors on code compliant projects — from clients, third party, licensor, engineering, government regulators and others as needed. Our team can implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) with appropriate hold points to meet any level of oversight your project requires.
Our team has the following industry recognized certifications:
- AWS Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI)
- ASNT Level II Liquid Penetrant Certifications
- ASNT Responsible Level III
- ASNT Liquid Penetrant Certifications
- ASNT Magnetic Particle Inspection Certifications
- ASNT Visual Inspection Certifications
- ASNT Ultrasonic Inspection Certifications
Specific services our QC Department offers include:
Testing
We offer a fully array of non-destructive examination (NDE) testing in-house or through third parties, including but not limited to:
- Leak Testing
- Liquid Penetrant Testing
- Magnetic Particle Testing
- Radiographic Testing
- Ultrasonic Testing
- Eddy Current Testing
- Hardness Testing
- Ferrite Testing of Welds
- Destructive Testing
- Load Rating of Lifting Fixtures
- Other testing, if needed to satisfy customers’ specific requirements
- We also provide in-house positive material identification (PMI), to guarantee our products’ authenticity.
Planning
With our team’s detailed knowledge and experience of the entire process, we can assist in upfront planning, often with an ITP, and help throughout the entire life of the job — from drafting, to production, to final inspection.
Download a sample ITP, which shows how to inspect, test and check all details within a project.
100% Material Traceability
All our projects have 100% materials traceability, and we provide Material Test Reports (MTRs) with all materials purchased. We’re experienced in dealing with all alloys, from carbon to all exotic grades of steel that require segregation. All parts and materials for a job are 100% tracked throughout the entire process, along with required NDE testing at various stages of production.
Material Care
We work across all grades of metal — from aluminum and carbon to stainless steels and exotics — ensuring each product does not come into contact with inappropriate dissimilar metals that would contaminate another metal. We properly prepare and store materials to meet customer requirements.
Documentation
All jobs always receive material test reports (MTRs), packing lists, installation instructions, and any other special needs to ensure proper field installation. Parts are appropriately labeled for product tracking and assembly.
Final Check Before Shipment
We check to make sure all products that leave our facility have all necessary parts, pieces, documents and details included.
Over the years, our team has collaborated with licensing partners and our customers, innovating to improve processes, designs and more.
We welcome a challenge and encourage our customers to innovate with our team. Have a problem? Contact us to talk through it.
To date, our team holds four product patents or co-patents for various products and solutions, including:
- Outlet Support Grid
- Tray Deck Repair Washer
- Scallop Support Distributor
- Methods for Improving Flow in Radial Flow Reactors
We have some of the largest inventory in stock globally for certain products for the industries we serve.

We carefully package our products for secure shipping and transport, and most all our shipping containers are custom-made, with each job receiving a specific crating plan.
Because we build our shipping crates in-house, our team can perfectly match each part to its specific container and ensure product quality all the way to its final destination.
Shipments by land, sea or air are within easy reach, as our facility has four major seaports and two international airports, all within a 50-mile radius. We also have our own trucking fleet for fast, local Houston-area delivery.
Oftentimes, products at a refinery or chemical plant can get lost prior to usage.
By storing at WMP, we can ensure safekeeping as well as timely transport for when you need it — saving time and money from what would otherwise be a critical rush order.
With our stock and release program, customers can pre-buy prior to an outage or turnaround. The WMP team helps evaluate those needed quantities and stores products for you if needed. Our warehouse team can track and offer inventory updates while keeping critical products in a climate-safe warehouse until needed.
